"There is a power for good and I can use it." - Earnest Holmes

2024 is the year of elections around the globe.  Time Magazine describes it as “a make or break year for democracies worldwide.” We are living in very exciting times! We have the opportunity and the responsibility to apply our spiritual principles to every aspect of our lives.  Much of this starts with the question, “What do I believe?”  The adage that it is done unto you as you believe is more than an abstract construct.  We see our beliefs out-pictured in every aspect of our lives.  And, for most of us, we also witness a shift in our life experiences as we create a shift in what we believe.  Personally, I often look at my conditions to see where the work is.  Where is it that I need to put in more effort? More Spiritual practice? More research? Perhaps you have also noticed that some things come very easily to you, while others are not only difficult, but sometimes seem impossible.  As we apply the tools and principles of New Thought/Ancient Wisdom to our life experiences, we often see amazing shifts or improvements in our everyday lives.  And, there is often that area that just seems unyielding.  For some it is finances, for others it is relationships, for others it is health challenges.  Whatever the area of challenge, whatever our personal journey, we can use spiritual and practical tools to co-create a new experience.

This is also true on the macro level.  Whatever we are experiencing on a family, community, nation or planetary level is subject to change as we change what we believe.  For example, by recognizing/changing what we believe about  how power-filled instead of powerless, we are  when we work with other like-minded individuals and organizations. The Holmes quote above has been the foundation of many of our spiritual and religious teachings for a very long time.  Today we are invited to restate that quote to, “There is a power for good and it can use me.”  The needs and rights of specific groups of people have been prioritized over, and to the detriment of world health, equity and prosperity resulting in ongoing conflicts and/or wars covering 30% of the planet.  Generations of today and tomorrow are forced to rectify a world facing massive climate change, the resurgence of widely-spread prejudices based in all aspects of identity, and a food cycle that is leaving more people around the world to deal with food shortages and contamination, impacting the very cells which make up who we are as living beings on this planet.  How far removed is book banning from book burning?  What are the consequences of denying history?  How are we to reconcile multi billionaires with the rising numbers of people who cannot access the basic necessities they need to live and thrive on this planet?

So, if “the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice,”  what is our individual and collective responsibility right now?  Can an idea as simple as change your thinking, change your life have the seed of planetary transformation?  We think so, and we are here as a ministry to demonstrate that in real time.  Through play shops, class offerings and collaborations with other ministries and organizations, it is our intention to plant the seeds for creating a different way.  Together, we are creating a path of wholeness that identifies and integrates the best that humanity has to offer to co-create a world in which everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

There is some amazing work being done on the planet right now in all of the problem areas noted above.  Organizations are collaborating to create sustainable resources that support life lived more abundantly.  We are a part of that movement, as we reclaim and consciously co-create change(s) that will confirm and affirm that this is an abundant universe and financial freedom is our divine birthright.  We start with our core values: Love, Justice, Freedom, Grace, Forgiveness, and Wholeness.  From there we build our ministry in the world around these values.  At the top of the page, we made note of the 2024 election cycle.  We ask and teach simply, for ourselves and everyone:  Who are the candidates, platforms and policies that align with our values?  A basic question and one which can reflect back at us, not just what we believe, but at least the beginnings of answers to how to we apply our values in the world?  What candidates, platforms, and policies do we support with our time, talent and treasure?  We are on the planet because we individually and collectively have a role to play in creating a safe, healthy, mutually respectful world and life experiences for generations to come.

We will publish monthly posts that share what we are up to as a ministry in terms of our offerings as well as updates on who we are partnering with and ways that you can become involved.  I love you!  I thank God for you! And I am really excited about the work that we can and will do together as community!
